This app was an excellent DICOM viewer. After the last two updates, it repeatedly crashed and deleted studies when it crashed but seems better with iOS 5.1. There is still no support and emails go unanswered. Could be better if there was better support.
I dont find it useful for iPad simply because you can only see one plane (no MPR view) which is one of the basics for CT and CBCT scans .
起動できない Cannot boot 役立たず Waste money
No support from the company. So you make sure that you may be spending several hundred dollars to the network technician connect it to your CR equipment if you do not know how to do it since the company does not care
I purchased this app to see my lung dicom files even i am not in medical field. And it opened all dicom images seamlessly. It deseerves 5 stars when developer adds icloud drive import capability.
Please, fix this problem asasp
OsiriX HD doesnt work on iOS8, please, fix it as soon as possible.
I love it, I love it, I love it. Osirix is great; using it since 2005
I had used the free version on OSX, using it to view both x-rays and MRIs. It does a fantastic job and I am using it now to archive all of my radiology data. This iPad app allows all of that data to be portable and viewable with doctors.
We love it. Have it working with DCM4CHEE using WADO over 3G - its screamin fast. Ive noticed a few bugs which I will attempt to replicate and share with the community.
Highly awaited app, finally available to display images in proper user interface. Connectivity is improved, although not fully intuitive for the novice non-IT inclined medical professional. Con is that this version appears highly unstable, unexpectedly crashing while performing various tasks, and sometimes while idle. Awaiting bug corrections.
When it works its great but that was only once! I installed, connected to our PACS server, downloaded one study and viewed. Awesome. Went to download second study and as soon as I hit retrieve, the program closed. It would not reopen no matter what. Even restarted iPad. Uninstalled it, reinstalled, and was able to get back into the program. Connected back to our PACS server, queried, and as soon I clicked retrieve study, it closed and once again will not reopen. Please fix! $30 wasted right now.
The Good: This app works very well with the Osirix Viewing program on my (2010) Mac Mini. The Query/Retrieve function is quick between the two. Images look very good on the iPad, easy to use. The Bad: I do get the occasional crash, I can not reproduce it but it can happen very randomly with no rhyme or reason. No certain function seems to cause it, it just happens. Usually 2-3 times / day. I would very much like the option of completely turning off the contrast control or having it greyed out by default, like the angle controls are. There are many times I will show someone an x-ray and if I dont remember to disable the contrast right away it will go completely white or black. I usually take a series of 4 x-rays and I have to disable contrast when I switch to the next x-ray or risk it accidentally going full black and having to "play" with the image to get it back to normal. If there was also a way to hide the controls(top and bottom menu) while in the viewer or enter a "full-screen" mode then this app would definitely earn the 5 stars it is trying to receive. I am using an iPad2 16GB 3G
Great app. Have it on both my iPad2 and iPhone 4S. iCloud streaming of database will make this even more awesome.
Great job on version 3! Outstanding implementation of the dual viewer with cross reference lines. Now I can actually use OSIRIX to look at Spine MRIs. That is truly a game changer! The expanded Q&R is exactly what I have been needing. The only thing I have had difficulty with is quickly scrolling through images one at a time without activating cine mode. When I have a bunch of images in a series to get through and I start tapping, it too easily turns into a double tap which activates cine and then I lose my place. Getting cine to stop isnt so easy, either. I personally never use cine mode in my daily practice and I would bet many (if not most) people who use OSIRIX HD will rarely (if ever) need cine mode. Hopefully these talented developers will come up with a different method of activating that feature which will not so easily interfere with routine image scrolling. Other than that, I love the new version and I will be using it a lot!
I was very excited to see this app available. I am a vet student and needed to view radiographs for my Radiology course. Ive been able to push radiographs from the school computer (they use Clearcanvas) to my iPad! Im really pleased that I dont have to bring my laptop to school to use Osirix, I can just continue to bring my iPad. The radiographs look great and the tools work well also. I plan to also use this app to show pet owners radiographs once I graduate.
It works great on the iPad. Have compared it to reading routine MSK mri off my workstation and I think its right up there. I wish there were ways to directly import .rar (which a lot of people seem to use) instead of just .zip. Occasional crashes are also a bit of a bother. But overall, dont think any others even begin to compare.
They keep improving on an already really good app. Thanks.
Works well until it doesnt. Crashes are common. The viewer interface is tricky to navigate even once you are familiar with it. I would expect something more intuitive in the viewer controls. This should be a priority in future versions.
